Formerly a commercial and factory building along the Ponce de Leon Avenue in the urban core of Santurce and originally built in 1952. The 6-story building is being converted into a 40+ rooms boutique hotel with commercial offering at city level. The building seeks to generate activity and contribute to the revival of the area which was in decline for several decades but remains opportunistic for development.

Architecturally, the proposal maximizes the floor plates to exceed the developers desired room count while creating attractive interiors with ample natural light and comfortable layouts. The design revolves around the users experience and generates a destination for work, play, sleep that can only be surpassed by the Island’s vibrant urban and natural context.
